Tim Kalien is the owner of Affinity Asset Management and, as an Investment Adviser Representative of Commonwealth Financial Network®, provides financial planning and access to products and processes to enable clients to manage their financial life. After working 18 years for Fortune 500 companies, Tim wanted a change and to work for the right guy . . . the client. Tim specializes in investment portfolio construction with an innovative management process.
Tim is a proud graduate of Winona State University. In his spare time, he likes to coach basketball and football. He is a member and past president of the Chippewa Falls Kiwanis Club. He lives in Chippewa Falls with his wife, Barb, and children, Stephanie, Dustin, Tyson, Nathan, and Malia.
Gregory Edwards, CFP®, AIF®
Greg comes to Affinity Asset Management with more than 25 years of experience in the financial services industry, including positions as both a financial advisor with Security Financial Solutions and Wells Fargo Investments and in management with US Bancorp Investments, Morgan Stanley, and SunAmerica Retirement Markets. Greg, a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM (CFP®) professional and Accredited Investment Fiduciary (AIF®), specializes in helping clients plan for and manage significant life events. As a risk management specialist, he helps clients with annuities, as well as life insurance, long-term care, and other insurance needs.
Greg earned a BS in Accounting from the Ohio State University. He is a veteran of the Ohio Army National Guard and U.S. Army Military Intelligence, serving as a Czechoslovakian linguist and translator. An avid reader, Greg is especially interested in Revolutionary and Napoleonic-era naval history. He lives in a cabin on a lake near Augusta, Wisconsin, with his wife, Sandy. They have three grown children and seven grandchildren.
Client Relations Associate
Sandra is Greg’s assistant and client relations associate. She earned a BS from the Ohio State University in 1982, specializing in Child Development and Developmental Psychology. As a former Army brat and Army wife, Sandra has traveled most of her life and is now enjoying life here in Western Wisconsin. She previously held administrative positions with the Ohio State University School of Music, The Pebble Beach Company, Stars and Stripes Bookstores, H&R Block, Karen R. Hurd Nutritional Practice, SunAmerica, and Security Financial Solutions.
Sandra has three children, three grandsons, and four granddaughters. She loves sewing and crafting, as well as hunting for antiques. She serves the women’s ministry of her church by coordinating the ladies retreat each year, and volunteers several days a month at the Fall Creek Community Cupboard.
Mike grew up working in a family business which has contributed to his passion for helping individuals and businesses pursue their financial goals. After earning his Bachelor of Arts degree in accounting and finance from Saint John’s University Mike spent two years as a business analyst at a Fortune 500 company working with a regional retailer. He then spent six years providing tax compliance and business consulting services with two public accounting firms and obtained a license as a Certfied Public Accountant (CPA) along the way.
Mike lives in Eau Claire with his wife, Jenni, and three children, Emily, Jake, and Allison. He volunteers his time on the board of directors for the LE Phillips Career Development Center and Helpful Hearts Foundation. When not at the office, Mike enjoys spending his time outdoors, golfing, hunting, or fishing.
